My Yacht™ Group's Art Basel Hong Kong Debut is ‘Talk of the Town’,
Welcomes Local, International HNWs Aboard Ferretti Yachts 870
(Hong Kong, March 23, 2015) My Yacht™ Group expanded its roster of events to Asia with an exclusive yacht reception on March 12th during the third Art Basel Hong Kong fair. The event saw the all-new Ferretti Yachts 870, from Italian luxury motor yachts brand Ferretti Yachts, moored at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club for a cocktail reception that welcomed special guests of private wealth management partner, Vontobel, along with HNW guests from Hong Kong, the region, and abroad. Nicholas Frankl, CEO of Entertainment Marketplace, brokered the deals to enable the expansion of My Yacht Group’s exclusive events into Asia.
My Yacht Group’s turnkey events create hospitality, branding, and sales opportunities for luxury and aspirational brands on board world-class yachts at some of the most important sporting, social, and artistic global gatherings, including Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival, Palm Beach Boat Show, and Art Basel Miami Beach, among others.
“Our intent was always to bring the My Yacht brand to Asia and, with Art Basel Hong Kong now established in its permanent March dates, the timing was right. We have brought My Yacht and Vontobel together for the past four years at the Miami fair, and this event was a natural progression,” said Nicholas Frankl.
The all-new Ferretti Yachts 870, framed by the sparkling backdrop of the Hong Kong skyline, is the first one in the “Tai He Ban by Ferretti” special edition. Guests aboard were among the first to see its unique layout, characterized by interiors specifically designed to host meetings and entertain, and inspired by the famous Hall of Supreme Harmony in Beijing’s Forbidden City. In addition, a Riva Iseo was moored off of the yacht’s stern and illuminated by the city’s skyscrapers.
A pontoon adjacent to the yacht featured a cigar lounge from official Art Basel partner Davidoff Cigars showcasing the new Nicaragua collection. Guests enjoyed 24-karat gold-flecked Brut and Rosé champagne from long-term partner Gold Emotion, plus single malt The Dalmore Cigar Malt Whiskey, and fine Premier Cru Burgundy, Chardonnay, and Swiss wines from specialized Hong Kong-based importer and retailer, Chateau Burgundy Limited.
